Powering Through

Still finding time gather all my feelings on the my recent disaster and write a proper post. I will tell you – I am no longer leaving NYC.

I was mad and frustrated yesterday, this morning I was over come with sadness. As with everything, this is good and bad. Focusing on the good and living for today. Here is what is helping me power through so far today.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful Mom!!

She is strong and lucky has made me the same way – whether I liked it or not : )

My take on Zucchini Bread Oatmeal

complete with a little coconut butter – dessert for breakfast anyone??

This quote from Daily Love this am was perfect.

“When we come into the present, we begin to feel the life around us again, but we also encounter whatever we have been avoiding. We must have the courage to face whatever is present / our pain, our desires, our grief, our loss, our secret hopes our love / everything that moves us most deeply.”

- Jack Kornfield, Vipassana Meditation Teacher

Finally, the promise of Strala Yoga this afternoon.

How are you living for today??

And random question – What was your favorite childhood book?? I loved the Phantom Toll Booth and Oh The Places You Will Go by Dr. Seuss. Ohh and In the Midnight Kitchen
